To achieve “carbon neutrality” you must measure emissions, implement reduction strategies, and then offset remaining emissions.

PAS 2060:2014 is the framework to demonstrate “carbon neutrality” by quantifying, reducing, and offsetting your carbon emissions. PAS 2060 will be withdrawn by December 31, 2025, when ISO 14068-1 will take over as the global standard.

ESOS (phase 3) delivery stages

Ainsty Risk Consulting Ltd | Energy and Risk management Specialists.

Several stages must be concluded to complete your ESOS report and notify compliance to the regulator.

These include identifying and measuring significant energy use and calculating energy intensity ratios, whilst ensuring audits identify all practical and material energy savings opportunities.

Before notifying the regulator, the report and recommended – and quantified – energy savings proposals must be reviewed and signed off by board-level directors.

This should explain – how and when – you intend to reduce energy use, and the underlying assumptions.

The last date to submit your compliance notification is Weds 5th June 2024  (Enforcement grace period until 6 Aug 2024) .

Following notification, you are also required to: maintain documentation, complete an “action plan” (by 5th December 2024) and two subsequent annual progress updates.

We
are
ESOS
Compliant

Also, aligned with our other expertise, we provide ESG regulatory compliance support, providing our clients with policies, procedures, intelligence, and advice on market leading ESG strategies and frameworks.

ESG means using Environmental, Social and Governance factors to assess the sustainability organisations.   These factors are seen as best embodying the three major challenges facing corporations and wider society, now encompassing climate change, human rights and regulatory comp.

Reducing your Environmental Impact

Our approach to sustainability – is to work to develop economic and environmentally sustainable solutions.
If we want to prevent runaway climate change, we cannot rely solely on national measures.
Making the challenge real and immediate requires expanding these goals into meaningful metrics for each and every public and private sector organisation.
